This month the NYC Elder Abuse Center started using a new subscription service to distribute our blog, the Elder Justice Dispatch, to you. If you are a subscriber to this blog and receive an email with each new post, please note that the emails will look different with the new service. The new post notification email shows the beginning of our blog post, and offers a link to click through to view the entire post on our website.

We also want to make sure that you did not miss our last three posts since switching services (you may have received them as one blog post announcement). Please check them out below!

Countering Isolation: The NYC Elder Abuse Center has launched a #CounteringIsolation social media campaign during the month of December. See how you can get involved here.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Abuse Prevention: Read the center’s announcement unveiling their new name and recommitment to elder abuse prevention.

Elder Abuse: A Challenge to the Mental Health System: Michael B. Friedman and Kerri Tavel discuss the mental health system’s shortcomings in responding to elder abuse.
