Older adults are at a greater risk for suicide than many other age groups. The good news is that we can identify warning signs and help older adults overcome painful suicidal ideation and lead more fulfilling lives.
Join the Geriatric Mental Health Alliance of New York for a day long symposium to learn about suicide among older adults from nationally renowned experts on geriatric mental health and suicide prevention. Participants will also take part in workshops where they will learn to spot warning signs of suicide, help older adults plan for their safety and connect older adults with community resources.
