This module is designed for health and mental health providers who regularly serve an older adult population. This includes, but is not limited to, those working in the fields of internal, family and/or geriatric medicine, psychiatry, nursing, psychiatric social work and geriatric care managers.

Topics will include:
• Definition of elder mistreatment & types of abuse
• Identifying red flags
• Role of the provider in assessment and intervention
• Interview strategies for older adults who are potential victims of abuse
• Comprehensive documentation
• Referral of victims to appropriate community resources
• Community resources
