PRESENTERS:

Madelyn Miller, PhD, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Chairperson, NASW-NYC Disaster Trauma Committee

Trauma can play a complex role in the lives of older adults, and it’s essential that providers understand the often devastating impact of both recent tragedies and early-life experiences such as accidents, assaults and mass traumatic events.

Dr. Miller will discuss factors that lead to vulnerability or resilience among trauma survivors and use case examples to highlight ways that providers can offer responsive, informed and supportive interventions.
