PLEASE NOTE: Due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy, this event has been postponed. It will not take place on November 9th in New York City. The Behavioral Activation for Depression event in New Paltz will still take place on November 29th. We will repost the New York City event when a new date is chosen.
Presented in part by the Geriatric Mental Health Alliance of New York, this training will teach participants the basic principles of Behavior Activation (BA). BA is a short-term intervention that has been shown to reduce depression among many populations, including adults, older adults and veterans. It is designed so anyone can use it, regardless of their clinical experience, as it helps people experience social, recreational and physical activities that have been shown to reduce the symptoms of depression.

Please visit the Geriatric Mental Health Alliance of New York’s homepage for information and additional educational opportunities.
