An Innovative Canadian Program Prevents Dental Elder Abuse

    On April 3, 2014 · 4 Comments
Many dentists may think that geriatric dentistry is not something that they will practice, but rapidly aging populations ensure that dental practices everywhere will see increasing numbers of older patients. Oddly, so it is for blogging. Before NYCEAC's staff took the blogging plunge, I would not have understood how many small yet significant achievements could occur during one full year of blogging. But I do now. Here are just a few reflections on what I've learned this year:

“We Are Family: When Elder Abuse, Neglect, and Financial Exploitation Hit Home” is a blog featuring a case study that was published in the American Society on Aging’s Generations publication and on their AgeBlog. We are summarizing this case on our blog because it provides yet another example of the complexity of elder abuse cases and highlights the critical need for a coordinated response.
